![]() Such a major loss to MYOB not transitioning to a full featured online product earlier :/ I'm losing more faith every week and am running now macs at work, that will be 2 OSX version old so its starting to effect my other software. I have been calling MYOB team fortnightly since Jand hearing "its coming, its coming" but my accountant spoke to someone high up this week that said not til early 2021, at best. ![]() I'm at the crossroads now trying to decide to stay with MYOB or go with my 5 businesses. I've found the next best solution (after doing through research between March and June and trialing 3 online platforms) is Quickbooks that is close to accountedge in power and features, especially with job tracking. My experience to date is keep using AccountEdge as to migrate it is really impossible, You lose too much info, job#s arent brought across with transacitons, and the full migration tool from AE to Essentials is months and months away. If not, after 25 years across 5 businesses I am probably now going to have to move to Quickbooks which is fully featured with many 3rd party options to import 2-5 years of full data. For MYOB as past market leader to allow XERO to overtake them in the market is a disaster.ĭoes anyone out there know any 3rd party companies that do these conversions? I've been calling Myob sales team every 2 weeks since July 1, hearing "its coming" but my accountant spoke to someone at MYOB that said its 2021 at the earliest! You would think the MigrationTool is absolute priority. requiring you to manually re-enter these! 90% of our 5,000 transactions a year have job#s attached to them. So you lose all job#s allocated to expenses and income etc. It does not allow (when importing to Essentials) the job#s attached to any of your transactions to be preserved. To my dismay, the migration available to date is very basic and unacceptable. To my surprise when I logged into MyobEssentials online in July thay had finally launched a fully fledged "Accountedge" looking platform with job#s which we use and is the most important feature to us. I rested on the decision in June this year to fo with Quickbooks as XERO does not allow invoice adjusting as easily (we often create invoices that change due to final job changes). Most staff in the office have been running now an old OSX and cant upgrade due to the incompatibility, hence the search for an alternative. I am a 20 year MAC user and my creative businesses have used Accountedge for as long as I can remember.Īs you can imagine we were devastated when MYOB were to no longer support MacOSX by pulling AccountEdge last year for MacOSX Catalina. I was making the move after 25 years as a MYOB user, to Quickbooks end of June after in-depth comparing XERO, MyobEssentials and Quickbooks online.
